Spiritual Awakening: A Transformative Force

Awakening is not some spiritual ideal abstracted from living. It's not the preserve of monks or "special" people. Some of us were born with a strong impulse towards it. However, that impulse may not necessarily show up as a positive impulse, more often than not it shows itself as a rabid dissatisfaction with life and the world. Or a gnawing question about the purpose of life, or simply 'what's it all about?'

Does this sound like you?

Well, I'm here to tell you that there is nothing wrong with you. Given the correct context you can engage with your life in a much more positive and collaborative way and finally feel at ease with who you are, and more at ease with life in general.

In other words, you can get on the right side of the impulse, where it becomes a force of transformation rather than one of stress, confusion and even depression.

I invite you to browse through this site, see what you're drawn to. If my writing speaks to you I invite you to consider purchasing my e-book, Waking Up To One Self. (If you sign up to my mailing list you get a €10 discount code that will cover the cost of the book, or use it as money-off a session.) If you would like to work one-on-one with me, then you can schedule a One-to-One Session or check out the Spiritual Awakening page for a very special offering which requires a 6-week commitment from you—it's a deep dive into your spiritual impulse. If you'd like to work with me weekly, long-term, I have a pay what you can afford subscription option. Furthermore, I offer regular 'live' online group sessions, called The Temerity Sessions which are a great opportunity to burn through conditioning in a loving, supportive environment. Finally, if you'd like to know a little more about who Louise Rooney is, then head over here. Or simply reach out to me and drop me a note using my Contact Form, you can ask me anything.

What’s Really Going On?

As conditioned, social humans we are great for skirting around an issue. We can deflect conversations off lonesome highways and long, winding diversions, very skilfully. All to hide and divert attention from what's really going on within us. We'd prefer to talk in stories, riddles and blame rather than just plainly admit a deep feeling of hurt, anxiety or fear.

Tend The Garden Within

When we finally recognise our True Nature beyond the imposter we held ourselves to be. When all the leaks of life force are sealed. When we break the habit of looking to the unreal, the maya, for the way forward, for ourSelves... then can the life force arise freely within. Nourishing and serving the needs of the organism and watering the seeds of the garden within the heart. Bringing to life, life's own dormant and hidden gifts.

Where Is Your Life Force?

What I call life force is the distinct power of life to move attention and give birth to that which it puts its attention on. For example, most people have a huge percentage of their life force stuck in the thinking mechanism, or what I simply call mind. Life force is like a volume button for attention that we turn up when we engage it. So when life force is stuck in the thinking mechanism, our thoughts are amplified, we literally both live in our thoughts/our heads and the lives that are created from that thinking.

Back To Life

Your spiritual path is completely and utterly personalised for YOU. Where is it? It is the very life you are living right now. The life force that is coming back home to you in this moment is presenting itself to you via the situations that you are resisting in your life. Via the churning in your stomach, the aches in your heart. These are all signs of the life force and where it is knocking at that door to get back in. Unfortunately, we ignore this most blessed and treasured of visitors. We turn away to keep looking elsewhere.

Tail Wags Dog

When you think of a tail wagging a dog you instantly get the feeling that something is the wrong way around, or back to front. Unfortunately, most of us live our lives, at least subtle aspects of them, the wrong way around. We do so by making the simple error of taking our cues from the outside world—the world of content and form—rather than from the inside, Being itself, and thus the tail wags the dog.
